Business Development Manager

Singapore and Malaysia

We are looking to add a passionate Business Development Manager to join our growing team. 

This role is an excellent opportunity to use your sales skills in order to expand the OpenPass Partner Network across Singapore and Malaysia. Your primary focus will be to bring on new partners within the superapp, travel, wallet and mobility industries through using your specialist prospecting, relationship building and negotiation skills. 

The ideal candidate is a curious self-starter, who is dedicated to their team and achieving their personal and business goals.

This position is based in our office in Singapore.

What you'll be doing

  • Utilise prospecting skills and senior relationships to navigate sophisticated organisations and build long lasting partnerships

  • Lead contract negotiations with senior stakeholders and deliver against OpenPass’s strategy and goals

  • Think outside the box and creatively adopt to the prospective partner’s needs

  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and discussions to drive adoption of OpenPass’s services.  

  • Construct, forecast and own your sales pipeline via Salesforce

  • Collaborate with internal teams to smoothly activate partnerships

  • Understand the OpenPass market segments, customer base, and industry verticals

What we are looking for

  • Business development expertise, including some experience with global accounts and large commercial customers (min. 4 years)

  • Experience working within software development, travel or mobility industries is preferred

  • Fluency in English mandatory, additional languages a benefit

  • Ability and hunger to take initiative and ownership of your own projects

  • Thrives on ambiguity, creative, persistent, self-motivated, solution-orientated, and comfortable operating in rapidly changing teams and surroundings.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment

  • Effective analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically about complex challenges and develop recommendations and action plans.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate propositions with partners and internal teams

  • Speaking and presentation skills – Formal presentations, panels, and group presentations are highly desired.

  • Willingness and desire to travel and collaborate with partners
